Data Scientist

The candidate will be involved in the development of data science and advanced analytics applications from proposal through commercialization and be expected to work closely with operations and business organizations. As a result, he/she will need to develop credible business cases for new applications, actively participate in technical development, and lead multi-disciplinary project execution teams.

Principal responsibilities

• Involved in technology development process, from understanding business requirements, data discovery and extraction, to model development, prototyping, evaluation, and deployment
• Actively participate in the technical development
• Lead project execution involving multi-disciplinary teams
• Stay abreast of new technology developments in the field of expertise and actively contribute ideas for new programs
• Effectively communicate analysis, findings, and results to stakeholders
• Support new programs while maintaining and improving existing solutions.

Required key skills

(M: Mandatorio | P: preferencial)

• Strong technical knowledge of quantitative methods such as statistical models, or mathematical programming, or machin learning – M
• Solid knowledge of SQL - M
• Solid knowledge of Python to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets – M
• BS in Operations Research, Computer Science or equivalent degree specializing in Data Science, Statistics, or a related discipline or practical experience - M
• 2+ years of experience in building and delivering analytics solutions (e.g., simulation, optimization, machine learning, statistical models) to real production systems (Sr) - M
• Deep understanding of data science lifecycle process - M
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to succinctly convey complex solutions to business stakeholders and executive leadership – M
• Master or PhD degree in Operations Research, Computer Science or equivalent degree specializing in Data Science, Statistics, or a related discipline or practical experience – P
• Experience with C#, Java, or C++ - P
• Experience with modelling platforms - P
• Experience with Tableau or other BI Tools - P

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Up to $40,000.00 per month
